I got my first paycheck in 1962 as a tester testing functions such as sin and cosine, which were used in satellite tracking. I was captured by the magic of software and its potential to help people. I found myself studying technology, microprocessors and artificial intelligence, and have worked in the IT industry for more than 30 years. In 1992, I had a coaching job that turned out to be key in the industry:

I was a coach in the first Scrum team. My contribution to the first scrum team included the introduction of these values and practices. I have worked side by side with Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland for a long time and shared Agile values like no one else. That’s why I hear my own voice when I read the Scrum manual.

For the past 15 years, I have been teaching and coaching on agile methods with an emphasis on Scrum. I have taught more than 10,000 students in certified classes. Reviews from my students and clients tell me that I am pragmatic, not dogmatic in my worldview, and I tell the truth as I see it. Both characteristics are important to me as a coach and teacher.

I also have a lot of applicable and funny stories taken from my sixty years of experience. After this experience in the first Scrum team, I invested in the study of human and team psychology, human communication styles and other topics related to being a conscious person.

Adding this knowledge to my natural enthusiasm, deep experience and entertaining style has strengthened my ability to give positive learning experiences and provide deep assistance to my coaching clients.
